South Korean golfer So Yeon Ryu is GOLFZON’s professional golfer. She plays on the LPGA Tour and on the KLPGA Tour.
So Yeon Ryu was born in 1990, but have already achieved success in all levels of golf tours and tournaments worldwide, signaling the rise and dominance of Korean female golfers today. In 2008, So Yeon Ryu won on the American Cactus Tour by six strokes as a professional golfer. She was the winner of the Sport Seoul Open after she joined the KLPGA Tour. However, Ryu fame was not realized until her dominating win at the U.S. Women’s Open on July 11, 2011. Her success in the U.S. Open motivated her to work harder and her hard work paid off when she won in 2012 at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic and at the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open on August 24, 2014. This year, she won 1st place at the World Ladies Championship in Haikou, China on Mar 15, 2015.
Ryu gained popularity in Canada after winning the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open and on a sunny Saturday, Ryu held a GOLFZON sponsored meet and greet event to share her golfing experiences with her fans. The event was held in Ontario, Canada on June 6, 2015.
As GOLFZON aims to present ‘golf in a way never seen before’, the fan meeting also provided the crowd with a unique golf experience. GOLFZON GDR golf training simulators were setup on location where Ryu provided one point lessons and product demonstration. Thanks to Ryu’s lessons, the fans had better understanding of the GDR and learned how to play better golf. GOLFZON GDR was developed to help players lower the barriers to golf practice by providing the most accurate simulation data featuring an ultra-high speed dual camera sensor system.
The fan meet and greet was not only for Ryu and her fans, but also for kids and families to experience a truly great golfing fun.
