2015 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship kicked off on October 15th, 2015 and lasts for 4 days until October 18th, 2015 at the Sky 72 Golf and Resort in Unseo-dong, Inchoen, South Korea. The LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship is a women’s professional golf tournament in Incheon, South Korea, co-sanctioned by the LPGA of Korea Tour and the LPGA Tour. The Hana Bank Championship field is packed with power this year: 20 of the top 25 Rolex Ranked golfers, and it’s getting more excited to see how the 2015 tournament runs. The world famous female golfers i.e. Lydia Ko, So Yeon Ryu, and Alison Lee are pitted against each other in the tournament.
The enthusiastic golf fans left pretty sticky notes to cheer up the golfers. A variant of events are also open to public, such as the putting game and the raffle.
In 2014, Kyu Jung Baek won her very first title, the 2014 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Champion, and successfully took home $300,000 top prize. This year, Inbee Park, the current 1st-ranked golfer in the world, also participates in the tournament and is locked in a tight battle with Lydia Ko. Lydia Ko, In Gee Chun and Alison Lee are grouped in team A. Team B is made up of golfers Inbee Park, Su Yeon Ryu and Paula Creamer. Team A plays first, then it’s team B’s turn. The current 2nd-ranked golfer in the world Lydia Ko hoped that she could achieve a better result than last year. Last year was Lydia’s first time playing in the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship and she only broke par one day, finishing in solo 29th. Lydia, who is turning 17 years old this year, became the No. 1 ranked woman professional golfer on February 2015, making her the youngest player to be ranked No. 1 in professional golf. It’s said that Lydia would take over the world’s No. 1 ranking with a win this week. What do you think?
We met the current 4th-ranked golfer in the world So Yeon Ryu. She said this tournament was one of the championships that she wanted to win the most, but she didn’t have a prediction. “I think all I can do is my best, and of course, sometimes your best is not enough. You do need a little bit of luck. So I will just do my best under the circumstances and hopefully I’ll be a bit lucky,” She continued.
Another LPGA rookie golfer Alison Lee, who won the first-round in the LGPA Malaysia last week, is also on the list of the top 10 to watch at KEB Hana Bank Championship.
24 of the 25 winners on the LPGA Tour this season are in the field in Korea, which definitely makes the 2015 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship one of the most competitive golf tournaments in the world. Now cast your prediction of who you think will win 2015 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.
